Studio Snapshots thoughts and a question

by Libby on November 24, 2008

Anyone interested in being featured in a Studio Snapshot?

It has been quite awhile since I last posted a Studio Snapshot interview.  I have one long overdue studio to share with you (so sorry Karen), and I thought I might answer my own questions too, but I am out of interviews after that.  I don’t like to be a broken record asking for people to participate.  To keep this going, I need some more artists to give us a peek into their studios large or small, messy or organized.

It’s very easy.  Email me through the contact page of the blog.  Then just answer some questions I will send to you and send me 4 – 6 (or more) photos of your creative space, plus one photo of a representative piece of your work.  Variety is fun.  Your creative space can be a simple table in a corner, various nooks and spaces around your home, a large dedicated space or anything in between.

While I am on the topic of Studio Snapshots, I’d also like to know if those of you who read this blog are interested in seeing more studios?  Post a comment and let me know.

No worries, Libby. I know that you had a lot going on. I can certainly relate to that! :-)
Your Las Vegas trip sounded fabulous. I enjoyed reading about it. I also love reading your Studio Snapshot feature and I’ll be happy to pass your invitation along to my artist friends.

keep the studio snapshots, please! they inspire me to work in, not on, my own studio. i don’t look at them for storage or layout ideas — there’s just something about a creative space, like an electric current that zaps out, touching all other artists. the only thing i like better than artist studio pics is artist-working-in-studio pics! (not finished product pics, but the artist at work) :)

Oh please keep the studio snapshots! I love that part of your site! I plan on applying to you for a feature on mine. Guess I need to get my butt in gear…

Would you be interested in progress reports on someone trying to organize a studio? LMK. I’ll take photos of the current “room from h***” over Xmas time.

Absolutely Catherine! A view of a studio in progress would be fun, and then it would be great if you could give us a look when it’s all finished.
