Last week I whipped together a fun collaboration piece with Julie Eakes. Sorry about the crummy photo, but I didn’t have access to my photo set up and the pendant was a fundraiser donation so it’s gone already. It felt a bit odd chopping up Julie’s beautiful face cane. The whole effect in this piece is rather silly, but I wanted to do something that was a real departure from the classic way Julie uses her face canes. Good thing Julie has a great sense of fun and she didn’t seem to mind that I chopped up her lovely lady. I’ve still got another slice left from the pieces she so foolishly generously contributed, so I may play around some more.
