Lisa Gauthier, Inspired by Pinterest

by Libby on July 28, 2013

One of the highlights of the recent Klay Away Retreat in New Hampshire was watching fellow SCPCG member, Lisa Gauthier, create a lovely cane inspired by a couple of photos on Pinterest.

Here’s a collage photo she made of the photo that inspired her to make a sunny painterly cane (top right), as well as the photo that she used as an image guide along with the finished cane:

Here’s the cane and photo at her workspace:

So much fun! It reminds me of the Bahamas.  She mad a couple of great and simple pins with it, using a single rhinestone as a sparkly “sun”. (Lisa’s a sparkle girl.)   She very generously gifted me with a slice of the reduced cane.

Pinterest is so much full of beautiful images that it was only a matter of time that some body would get inspired and create a work of art. This is precisely what Lisa did and how!!!! You were really lucky to be at the right place and at the right time to get a chance to see that work and even receive a gift from her!
