Clearing out…
Moving really forces you to clear stuff out. It’s hard work, but it feels great after you’re done. We cleared a lot out before we moved last summer, but we had been in our house more than 10 years and we really didn’t want to move. Before we put this house […]

Smelly Dog
Something is up with Duncan. Just being in the room with him is enough to make my eyes water. And the stink seems to just hang in the air, lots and lots of open windows and Febreeze are not helping. It’s torture. The lingering traces of E6000 fumes in my studio are preferrable to […]

Fumes…
Anyone who has ever worked with E6000 glue can immediately call to mind that disgusting smell. I just glued some polymer cabs/ultrasuede/Lacy’s Stiff Stuff sandwiches together for a couple of (hopefully) quick bead embroidery projects. Now I’m trying to air myself out while they set. Nasty nasty stuff that glue, but I haven’t found anything […]

Catching up…
I had the chance to catch up with my oldest friend tonight. What a pleasure! Ashley & I have known each other since we were four years old or thereabouts and we’re considerably older than that now. Through the years we’ve drifted in and out of touch. Most recently I […]

Flo
Flo the wonder fish died last week after a prolonged illness. (I feel like I writing about a person) Actually we really thought she was dying a couple of weeks ago, but she seemed to be doing much better after treatment with fishie antibiotics. Flo thrived on a combination of benign neglect […]

Biting off more than I can chew…I am about to start a peyote bracelet. I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile. What I really want to do is freeform peyote like the bracelet on the cover of last month’s Beadwork magazine, but I think I need to get some regular flat peyote done first. […]

Spring
It really feels like Spring today. Warm and sunny and my younger daughter is out for April vacation. Next week my older daughter is home so I get to spend a bit (well, more than a bit, lol) of one on one time with each of them. I have a feeling it is going to […]

Frustrated
I am really sad about not entering Bead Dreams this year. I didn’t manage to enter the NPCG’s Progress & Possibilities Show either. I’ve got between now and July to come up with something for The Rave. It’s a really long shot that I’ll be able to get focused enough to do anything show worthy. […]

Snow in April?
My beautiful daffodils are buried in snow. Wierd, huh? I’ll have to try to get a picture later. Probably not too much later since it appears to be melting very fast. No real news right now, I’m just a cleaning and carpooling machine lately.
