Fumes…
Anyone who has ever worked with E6000 glue can immediately call to mind that disgusting smell. I just glued some polymer cabs/ultrasuede/Lacy’s Stiff Stuff sandwiches together for a couple of (hopefully) quick bead embroidery projects. Now I’m trying to air myself out while they set. Nasty nasty stuff that glue, but I haven’t found anything else I like for this particular use. Ironically the smell evokes my childhood. My dad used to smell like this glue from some of the chemicals they used at work.
I’m headed down to LJ’s Jewelry Arts Expo with a friend. A weekend of beading, bead shopping and friends, it should be fun! If I’m lucky and there’s a space left I might even squeeze in a class.
