A dwindling pile of boxes
The mornings have been really cold and frosty. I hate scraping frost off the car. We have to park out side because our garage is full of boxes from the move. Today we finally shipped off the loveseat, chair and washer & dryer to go into storage for my niece. With those big items out, I decided it was time I concentrated on clearing out the giant pile.
Most of the boxes in the garage were boxes we never really unpacked after the first move. This time I am being really brutal as I go through the stuff. I couldn’t believe how many vases I had. It didn’t matter when I had a deep cupboard to store them in. But now that I don’t have all that extra space, I am sending most of the vases off to Goodwill. It’s fun to go through old things and remember when we got something, but after a while all the accumulated stuff starts to weigh you down. I like to think of some of these things having a new life with someone else.
It feels good. I’ve got 6 bags of trash, plus at least 4 boxes for Goodwill, and I emptied at least a dozen boxes. I should have counted. LOL I can see day light in the garage now. If Bob & I work together on this we’ll be able to park inside soon. Such luxury!
