Home at last!

Well, I can definitely say that our house officially feels like “home” now. We’ve gone through our last moving box. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for 15 here. Having a family gathering here was like a final finishing touch. It was fun, albeit hectic. I haven’t cooked Thanksgiving dinner in quite a few years and it’s really easy to fall out of practice. I’ll do better next year. :-) The dining room looked great, empty of boxes and spiffed out for the dinner.

The other exciting news is the garage is all cleared out and organized! I was ridiculously pleased this morning to see frost outside, and know our cars were tucked in the garage. Silly I know, but it feels like real progress.

On the jewelry front, I forgot to post a picture of my great save the other day. I was digging in my jewelry box a couple of weeks ago and I dug out a pair of pmc earring I made around 2 years ago. I loved the shape and pattern of the earrings, but I made them too thick, and they were simply too heavy to wear. So, I had a great brainstorm… I could turn them into bracelets. I took the pmc piece off the ear wire, drilled another hole on the bottom, added some leather cord and a clasp, and voila, a bracelet I can really enjoy.
