There must be something in the water lately. My mother-in-law fell a couple of months and ended up in the hospital for awhile. Now, just as she is getting back on her feet, my father-in-law has taken a serious turn for the worse. He’s in pain and unsteady on his feet and getting more and more confused. Then tonight I learned that one of my dearest friends was just diagnosed with uterine cancer.
Life can change so dramatically in an instant. I think it’s important to remember to cherish what you have every day and not to spend too much time looking out toward the future.
Let’s hope that 2007 starts off better than 2006 is ending.
I’m going to go kiss my sleeping girls.
