Hi Libby,

I found you through Polymer Clay Daily...I was just experimenting with pc, alcohol inks and stamps when I saw your lovely pendants...I immediately finished my experiment...inspired by your jewelry...so was sort of copycatting, although I don't use silver...just pc. But I really wanted to thank you for I'm doing art shows and I was looking for techniques to make some razor sharp design jewelry and couldn't find or think of anything I liked. But based on your pieces, I drew a few designs now that are totally different from yours, but based on the same technique.

I love your other work as well...it's great to see you combine the silver and the pc. How do you attach the pc to the silver? Can you glue it? I'm not asking to copy...silver's out of my league. But I am really curious how you can attach the one to the other in a permanent and lasting way.

I'm reading your log daily! I keep a lot as well, so you're welcome to take a peek at my work as well if you like!

Kind regards, Mandy

I like it too Libby....perhaps you want to continue to explore both paths?? I think the texture on the silver is more apparent with this piece than with the box bezel and that is part of the appeal to me of this design. I like the bezel design as well, but if you were looking at this as a design to sell, this might be the more viable solution. Less labor intensive, and still very effective?? Cool stuff!

Hi Libby,
I've been so enjoying your blog. This piece is stunning..... to my eyes!!!! I love the colors and edging on the metal. To me, it appears really "finished" and makes me think about what you did to get the edges....I've never worked in metal and have no idea how it's done but this one is just really striking.
