Over the last few months I’ve managed to make a pile of silver bezels. It takes the right kind of mood for me to get into the groove of filling them. Fortunately, I’ve been in the mood lately:
Simple shapes, patterns, textures and colors. Half of me thinks I am in a rut and the other half is having fun. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of the pebbly sandpaper texture.

Love them! I would know those are yours anywhere I might see them.

Very nice Libby! Makes me wish I knew how to make silver bezels. They set off the clay so professionally. If you’re in a rut, then it’s a good one!

That’s definitely not a rut - it’s a distinctive style which still has alot of variation
Nice!

I think you are on the right track. It is a form and a style that can be tweaked thousands of ways. If you never changed from silver bezels and polymer you could keep going forever. And the only way to get out of a creative slump is to be having fun. Why would anyone want to do something that wasn’t fun??

I love the different depths of the first two. They remind me of miniature shadow boxes. Very nice!

Oh to be in such a “rut”.
I like the texture you give the edge of the silver. Very nifty! I’ve been on a donut kick lately (and haven’t been able to adequately bring to life any of the ideas in my head) so the 4th one really appeals to me.
Beautiful work!
