Catching Up

Last week just slipped away from me.  You’d think that I’d be revelling in having time to myself now that school is back in session.  Somehow it takes me at least as long to adjust to having my days to myself as it does for me to adjust to the absence of free time during the summer.  Clearly, it just takes me time to adjust to any shift in my day.  LOL

The Bead Bazaar is done.  I will have to wait until after next Saturday’s guild meeting to know for sure, but I suspect I will have a lot of pieces left over.  The traffic at the show was definitely slower than last year and it seemed like the lower priced items were what were selling. I don’t think I sold any of the Strata pieces.  Oh well, I had fun making them.  I may have to put them on Etsy or something.

Now that the Bead Bazaar is behind me, this week’s first project is going to be making earrings for my mother-in-law.  My nephew is getting married in just a few weeks and my MIL has a lovely dress but no earrings.  The dress looked purple in the catalog, but in real life it’s more of a dark cherry color.  I had a small vial of mixed seed beads that matched reasonably well and I bought a few other beads as options while I was at the Bead Bazaar yesterday.  I am just waiting for an idea to strike me.
